Biography:

Doctor Strange, portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a complex character initially introduced as a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon. His hands are severely damaged in an accident, leading him on a quest for a cure, where he encounters the Ancient One and learns the mystic arts.

Stephen Strange's (Dr. Strange) first MCU appearance was in his self titled film, Doctor Strange, but is featured in Avengers: Infinity War. In that film, Strange possesses the Time Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones, and holds immense responsibility for its protection. He is depicted as powerful sorcerer, capable of manipulating reality, creating portals, and casting various magical spells.

During the events of *Avenger: Infinity War*, Strange foresees millions of possible futures, identifying only one in which the Avengers defeat Thanos. He ultimately surrenders the Time Stone to Thanos in exchange for Tony Stark's life, believing it to be the only path to victory. Dr. Strange is dusted by Thanos and returns again during *Avenger's Endgame* to fight against Thanos.
